Netflix’s latest holiday release, Our Little Secret, is like a heartwarming gift from Santa
Our Little Secret is one of the nicest romcoms of the year. Starring Lindsey Lohan as Avery and Ian Harding as Logan, this is the story of childhood friends turned lovers turned exes who reunite after a decade for a family holiday with their respective significant other, who happen to be siblings.
The story explores all the romcom tropes and the meet-the-family premise is nicely played out for comedy by writer Hailey DeDominicis. Lohan’s performance initially seems a little heartless rather than heartbroken, but the rest falls right – from the well-crafted script and the vibrant visuals to the art direction and the cast, even the junior artistes.
A special mention for the packaging of the film, and a quick shoutout to singer Amber Woodhouse for her single, It’s Christmas, the only track that stands out and is featured at the end of the film.
This is the third year in a row that Lindsay Lohan has a Netflix Christmas hit on her hands, and you should watch this fun film over the holidays.
